S. P. McCarl & Company, Inc. is a mechanical contractor specializing in design/build, energy services, process piping, pipe fabrication, metal fabrication, plumbing, & HVAC. Our territory includes PA and portions of MD, WV, VA, NY, DE, & OH.

Our business was started in 1946 by Foster McCarl, Jr. in Beaver Falls, PA. Foster opened our office in Altoona in 1973 with a vision for business growth in central PA. Foster's youngest son, Shawn, took over as General Manager of the Altoona office in 1990. In 1996 Shawn purchased the Altoona office from his oldest brother and S. P. McCarl & Company, Inc. was created.

For decades our company has excelled in the heavy commercial and industrial markets serving industries such as: alternative energy, automotive, chemical, correctional, education (K-12 & universities), food processing, glass, government (local, state, and federal), healthcare, Marcellus Shale, petroleum, pharmaceutical, power, pulp & paper, steel, telecommunications, transportation, water & wastewater.
